Reference Books and Maps

The people who live in the Four Corners area and most of Utah don’t need books or “how-to”, they just decide, “which way am I going to turn today, left or right”.  Obviously I am exaggerating a bit, but most of us are not fortunate enough to live in the “mecca” of rock art.  Am I envious??? You bet.  For most of us, it is research and hiking with more research and hiking, but I still love it.

There are many good reference books available through online bookstores or local bookstores, Amazon.com, libraries, REI, Bass Pro, Cabela’s, etc.  Below are some from my personal collection for the greater southern Nevada area.  Similar books are available for your local area of research.

The books below are in no special order.
